100% to recommend! 31.07.2021 - The house of Drazen and Valentina is located in the middle of the beautiful old town of Bale. The house has been furnished with great attention to detail and high quality. The parking is not at the house but free and very easy to reach by foot. The hosts are always attentive and friendly. We felt very comfortable and will certainly come again.

Das Ferienhäuschen ist wirklich ein Schmuckstück 29.09.2022 - Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt im sehr schön und gut ausgerüsteten Ferienhäuschen im Herzen von Bale. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und tolle Ausflüge zu den nahe gelegenen Highlights Istriens und zum sehr schönen Strand gemacht. Auch kulinarisch bietet Bale und seine Umgebung einiges. Wir können die Villa Vallis nur weiterempfehlen.

Die Wohnung hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt 30.10.2022 - ...ein sehr romantisches Nest direkt im Zentrum des historischen Castellos von Bale. Einrichtung, Sauberkeit, Ausstattung - alles tiptop. Lokale, ein gut sortierter Minimarkt, Apotheke und andere Geschäfte liegen innerhalb weniger Gehminuten im Umkreis - man kann auch Ende Oktober noch sehr nett in Bale Essen gehen oder einfach den Flair der Stadt genießen. Und die Wege in Istrien sind kurz - man ist zügig sowohl an der Küste als auch bei so manchen Natur- und Kulturjuwelen im Hinterland. Eigenes Auto sollte man allerdings mithaben, vor allem in der Nach-Nachsaison. Wir waren mit Christine vorab mehrmals sehr nett in Kontakt, auch Iva, die im Nachbarhaus wohnt und uns zum Einchecken in Empfang genommen hat, ist eine ausgesprochen freundliche und hilfsbereite junge Frau, die uns viele gute Tipps gegeben hat. Summa summarum ein sehr entspannter Aufenthalt in einem tollen Quartier bei sympathischen Leuten :) Gerne wieder. Silvia und Eckhart

Wunderschöne Ostertage im malerischen Bale! 11.04.2023 - Was für eine zauberhafte Unterkunft. In Echt fanden wir es noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Das Haus liegt mitten in der schönen Altstadt und ist trotzdem total ruhig! Der Ort ist sehr hübsch, Restaurants, Bäcker und Supermärkte in Laufweite. Tolle Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in ganz Istrien. Check-In und Check-Out mit Iva war super freundlich und komfortabel. Wir haben die fünf Tage dort geliebt!

Alles bestens und gerne wieder! 22.07.2023 - Das Ferienhaus ist sehr geschmackvoll und mit den neusten Küchengeräten funktional eingerichtet. Es ist sehr ruhig und doch sehr zentral im Dorf gelegen. Das wunderschöne und feine Restaurant Kamene Price liegt nur wenige Schritte vom Ferienhaus entfernt. Im Innenhof des Ferienhauses kann man im Schatten des Sonnenzelts frühstücken oder zu Abend essen. Die Betten sind von bester Qualität, das ganze Haus sehr sauber. Die Waschmaschine, die Aircondition und den Induktionsherd haben wir sehr geschätzt. Das malerische Dörfchen Bale bietet viele gute Restaurants, zahlreiche kulturelle Veranstaltungen.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft in toller Altstadt 12.08.2023 - Wir haben die Tage in Bale sehr genossen. Die Wege waren trotz der Unterkunft in der Altstadt nicht all zu weit und zum Aus- und Einladen war es auch genial, dass wir fast direkt an das Haus fahren konnten. Die Villa liegt mittten drin, umgeben von netten Restaurants und einer Eisdiele. Die zwei Bäckereien und der Supermarkt sind zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen...

Sehr schön renoviertes Steinhaus in der Altstadt von Bale 20.08.2023 - Das Steinhaus liegt sehr zentral mitten in der Altstadt von Bale, der Innenhof ist perfekt zum Essen und Lesen. Ruhige Lage, obwohl mehrere kleine Café/Bars in der Nähe sind. Alles sehr schön und hochwertig renoviert, sehr gute Ausstattung. Zwei sehr geräumige Schlafzimmer, jeweils im Obergeschoß und Untergeschoß. Der Kontakt zum Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten sind am Rand von Bale fußläufig in 5-10 Minuten zu erreichen. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit und würden es auf jeden Fall wieder buchen!

Thank you! It was perfection! 01.10.2023 - I cannot say enough good things about this stay. The place is amazing! Tucked away in a magical walled city, this ancient house was seamlessly renovated with every modern amenity. Iva was our local host and point of contact - she met us for check in and check out, gave great recommendations, and was available for questions over text. We did day trips to Pula, Rovinj, Motovun but Bale was our favorite. It’s a quiet little town but a perfect home base to explore Istria - cannot recommend highly enough!!

Great! 27.09.2023 - I really liked the house and the small town of Bale where it was located. The house had a lovely courtyard where you could have meals or sit with friends. There were lots of good bars and restaurants in the immediate area, even though it is a very small town. The house had everything you needed to have a good holiday with friends.

Wir kommen gerne wieder! 20.09.2023 - Das Haus war ganz wunderbar! Architektonisch sehr schön saniert/ modernisiert und stilsicher eingerichtet. Die Lage im alten Teil von Bale ist sehr idyllisch, Bars/ Cafés/ Restaurants sind in Laufentfernung. Herzlichen Dank auch an Iva für den netten Empfang und die sehr gute Betreuung vor Ort. Wir haben die Woche zu zweit mit Hund sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

Our stay at Christine’s place was wonderful 24.04.2024 - The accommodation is beautifully renovated and comfortably accommodated 2 couples. The beds were especially comfortable. The location is peaceful and away from the busy towns and cities yet close enough to visit with a short drive. Highly recommended. Be sure to visit Kamene price restaurant a few steps away for amazing local food.

Excellent stay here in Bale 10.09.2024 - ... which was a beautiful, quiet town with plenty of restaurants and bars and a perfect location for visiting the rest of Istria. The apartment is excellently situated near several restaurants, a cafe and a bakery. No cars allowed into the town but the parking was plentiful, free and only a very short walk away. We loved the area and would definite consider revisiting. The apartment is very smart and beautifully decorated with two really great en-suite bedrooms.

Sehr schöne Wohnung im Herzen von Bale 26.09.2024 - Man sollte auf jeden Fall gut zu Fuß sein, da einige Treppen zu bewältigen sind. Das Auto muss etwas außerhalb abgestellt werden. Es gibt zwei sehr große Schlafzimmer mit Sitzgelegenheit und Bad im Unter- und im Obergeschoß, in der Mitte befindet sich ein Gäste-WC, Küche, Essbereich und 2er-Sofa. Alles voll klimatisiert. Wir (mein Mann und ich) waren mit einer Freundin unterwegs, somit war diese Aufteilung für uns optimal, da jeder seinen Freiraum hatte. Der Außenbereich ist sehr schön und erweitert das Wohnzimmer. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Bale ist ein guter Startpunkt für Ausflüge, da sowohl der Süden (Kap Kamenjak) als auch der Norden (Novigrad) in einer guten halben Stunde mit dem Auto erreichbar sind. Wir haben unserer Freundin die Höhepunkte von Istrien gezeigt und waren von unserem Aufenthalt sehr begeistert.

We were sad to leave! 08.10.2024 - So we traveled around Europe for two weeks. And we have five Airbnbs and a well known Treehouse, where we’ve done multiple Netflix shows(Alpaca Treehouse in the Bamboo Forest). We are extremely fussy and picky and this place is perfection. We stayed for six nights and this is the perfect homebase for exploring the Istrian peninsula. We loved the heated floors in the bathroom, comfy bed, great kitchen. We loved the medieval stone adorable town. We loved the jazz bars and local delicious restaurants.

We had a great 5 night stay in Bale 15.04.2025 - Christine's villa is a beautifully renovated stone house in the old town. We were met by Iva at a nearby carpark and shown up to the villa. We were able to drive to a small square by the villa to unload and load the car. (I don't think this is possible in high season)
The house is immaculate with everything we needed. We used the upstairs bedroom, there is another big double room downstairs so it would be perfect for 2 couples staying together.
We weren't able to use the lovely outside seating area but I imagine it would be lovely in the summer!
The villa is very quiet and there are several good restaurants nearby. There is a bakery and a small supermarket 2 minutes walk away.
It was a great base for exploring the Istrian Pensinsula and we had some lovely walks right from the village.

Rental terms
Upon receipt of the booking confirmation, a deposit of 20% of the rental price is due within 10 days. The booking can be cancelled free of charge up to 42 days before the day of arrival. However, the deposit up to a maximum of € 100.00 will not be refunded. In the event of cancellation up to 21 days before arrival, 50% of the rental price is due, from 20 days before the start of the booking the full rental price is due. If the property can be re-let during the booked period, 80% of the rental price will be refunded. In the event of early departure, there is no entitlement to a refund of the remaining rent.
