The small mountain village Motovun is perched majestic above the Mirna Valley and the surrounding truffle forests. Its medieval fortress character ist still today very impressive. From the city wall the view to the fertile valley of the Mirna with its fields and vineyards is terrific. For gourmets its worth a visit too: Motovun is known as the town of truffles. These can be tasted in local restaurants and konobas.
