The picturesque seaside resort of Fažana is located in the southwest of the peninsula, just a few kilometres from Pula. The small coastal town is famous for its beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters. The old town of Fažana has winding narrow streets with inviting cafes and restaurants. The town has a long history dating back to Roman times, as evidenced by the remains of the Temple of Augustus.
Fažana is also a popular starting point for boat trips to the nearby Brijuni Islands, which are protected as a national park and offer an impressive variety of flora and fauna.
