length: 44 km     drivingh time: 3-4 hours      altitude difference: 130 m

The coastal town of Rovinj is the destination of this tour, which can be mastered without any major difficulties even in midsummer. Only the final climb to Bale with a difference in altitude of approx. 130 m is quite a challenge. The path leads past the bird sanctuary Palud, the beach Cisterna, the campsites Veštar and Polari, to beautiful bays around Zlatni Rt via shady field and forest paths, partly directly at the sea.

The tour can also be started in Rovinj. A visit to Bale is definitely worthwhile, especially since in this case the climb to Bale does not have to be mastered at the end of the tour.

From Bale take the asphalted road downhill towards the beach until the cycle path to Rovinj branches off to the right (signposted). You can now follow this road until you reach the connection road to Cocaletto at camping Veštar, which you follow until just before Cocaletto. Here, a path branches off to the left and takes you to camping Polari. Find your way across the campsite to the beach, where you keep to the right and soon reach the bays south of Rovinj. The path leads through the shady pine forests at Zlatni Rt (steep ascent at the old quarry!) to Rovinj.

The way back is similar, but you can take a short cut at Zlatni Rt and avoid the quarry. Just behind the Hotel Monte Mulini turn left. If you have your swimsuits with you, you can make a detour to the beach of Cisterna or refresh yourself at the beach of San Pol (the northern end of San Pol is a gate, which can be bypassed).
